Hosting and server logs

The website runs on our own virtual server rented from Contabo GmbH in a data center in Germany. Contabo processes the data only on our behalf.

To deliver a page, the server has to receive your IP address. The web server does not keep access logs. Technical error messages can contain an IP address; each service keeps at most 30 MB of them, and the oldest are overwritten first.

Website statistics (Umami)

To understand which pages and languages are useful, we use Umami, installed on the same server. No data goes to a third party. Umami records:

• the page address, the page title and the address of the page that linked to us;
• browser, operating system, device type, screen size and browser language;
• country, region and city, derived from your IP address at the moment of the visit;
• clicks on the “Book a call” and “Contact us” buttons, with the solution page they were on.

Your IP address itself is not stored. To count a visit once, Umami computes a one-way code from the IP address, the browser and a secret value that changes every day, so a visit cannot be linked to your visits on other days. The statistics are only viewed as totals; we do not try to identify anyone.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring and improving the website (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Nothing is stored on your device. The statistics script only reads the screen size, the browser language and the Do Not Track setting, and sends the first two with the page view. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, Umami records nothing.

Retention: statistics are deleted after 24 months.

Links to other services

“Book a call” opens Calendly, and the social links open LinkedIn and Instagram. These are links, not embeds: nothing from those services loads on our pages. Once you follow a link, that service's privacy policy applies.

If you write to us by e-mail, we use your message only to answer it and keep it as long as our business relationship needs it. Legal basis: steps before a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our company mailbox is hosted by an e-mail hosting provider in the Republic of Moldova, which processes the messages only on our behalf.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you (GDPR art. 15);
• have it corrected or deleted (art. 16 and 17);
• restrict or object to its processing (art. 18 and 21);
• receive it in a portable format (art. 20).

Statistics without an IP address usually cannot be linked to you, so we may not be able to find your visits in them.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the Republic of Moldova, the National Center for Personal Data Protection; in the EU, the authority of the country where you live or work.

Changes

We update this notice when the website changes the way it handles data. The date at the top shows the current version.
